Chelsea learned at Frank McCourt high school that you have to give to get. She couldn't expect the grades she wanted without earning it. It was hard but she's learning everyday. Chelsea is one to show desire to continue. Once she knows when something has to be done and gets it done. Also when she finds something she enjoys. She is part of the West Side Softball League and has been since she was about 8 years old. She would always change her mind until she found something to be dedicated to. She continues her experience with sports by being a soccer coach with her younger sisters team. Aside from sporting she enjoys creative writing that she likes to share publicly. Chelsea plans to continue balancing her academic work with her hobbies that help her stay focused.
Now her goal goes on into her sophomore year. Chelsea had a struggle during freshmen year to balance her goals on getting the grades she thought she deserved. By learning what she has done in her previous year she was able to discover how to bring her grades up. She decided to hand in homework at most completed because she has learned that even if what you give it isn't correct, it shows the effort you put into the work. She joined the outdoors club to try something knew and get involved in her school. Throughout the year she continue doing community service in school such as parent teacher conferences. She then joined the book club a little over half way through the year. Although it was late she plans to continue them as well as more clubs in her junior and senior year.
During her ninth grade year, Chelsea found more motivations to keep on task with her work. She plans on taking her creative writing to the next level leaving her high school years. As well as getting into my coaching activities with younger children. She might be joining a camp as counselor starting summer 2012. Not knowing where this will lead her, she hopes this will get her to the right direction.
And she has gone in the right direction. Although Chelsea did not work at camp like she thought she did, she point of view on school changed in sophomore year. During her first quarter, she lacked staying on task and thought she would just move by this upcoming year. However by a change in direction and mind thought she found the importance in the work she would be giving in. By doing so she saw her grades improving and not having such a hard time in class as much. If she continues the way she is now all through her junior year, she feels more prepared for her future outside of Frank McCourt High School.During her ninth grade year, Chelsea found more motivations to keep on task with her work. As Chelsea entered into her junior year, she has her head in the right direction. She becomes more time orientated and organized with her work. She's now more familiar with the type of work she is given. It become easier for her to adjust to her surroundings. She also became more involved into the school. She became an ambassador as well as consistent volunteering at school events. She's improved in her leadership skills and continues to make sure all is included in a group project. She hopes that her growth carries on as she approaches her senior year.
Now she made it to her last year. It seemed like she was able to combine her knowledge from the other three years to make the best ending to her journey. It felt like this year flew by. Since there were more activities and responsibilities Chelsea had to deal with this year, it's possible that it kept her busy. She challenged herself by engaging into Budgeting, even though she wasn't registered. It was good for her to find out what she is interested in and take action to get it done. Now, as she strolls her way into college, she knows what she wants out of it but continues to have an open mind about what can come next.
